Version 3.4

The software v3.4 mainly offers a new SmartMeter version including a True-Peak meter, a Vectorscope as well as an improved Surround analyser. The new firmware also improves performances of the Trinnov Audio Core and manages chaining of 2 cores to provide more simultaneous I/Os:

New Features

• Multiple TAC Support: this release includes a new optimized audio core firmware that allows 2 TAC chaining and better performance for single TAC units. MC Processor can therefore manage up to 16 simultaneous digital I/Os.

• SmartMeter 2.0: includes brand-new tools:
• The True Peak Meter showing the maximum absolute level of the signal in the continuous time domain. It is an implementation of the EBU recommendation R128.
• The Vectorscope is a standard phase-meter for stereo signal monitoring. Phase integration and Afterglow can be set manually.
• The Surround Analyser for multichannel signal monitoring. It shows a 360° display of your multichannel signal as well as the correlation between relevant pairs of signals.

• Login: different user levels with limited access to sensitive features are now available as an option for MC Processors and ST2 Pros.

Improvement:

• Non Audio data detection: any encoded stream (ac3, DTS…) playing through SPDIF or AES is detected as non-audio data. A visual alert is displayed and the outputs are muted.
• Target Curves: button “link all but subwoofer”.
• Multiview: “swap” button to switch between multiview and standard display from the interface.
• Backup/Restore USB: presets can be backed up and restored individually.

Changes

• Monitoring Control: is now available without the SmartMeter option:
• The Monitoring Control tab is in the Home Page.
• A reduced Home Page has been implemented in the ST2 Pro.
