Trinnov announces new metering product

Trinnov’s SmartMeter is designed to meet the requirements of broadcasters and post-production studios: it offers a comprehensive set of features for metering multiple stereo and surround audio sources. Furthermore, the SmartMeter is easy to integrate into the production environment via the GPIO interface and the ability to customize the software.

The SmartMeter is both a multi-meter and a monitor controller: via a touchscreen-based, easy to use interface, the user has access to all the functionality. The main features are: Loudness Meter, Peak Program Meters (PPM), Quasi-Peak meters, Spatial Analyzer and Timeline. The monitor controller offers solo, mute, source selection, volume control and downmix.

The SmartMeter is based on the Trinnov Processor, which offers up to 10 analog i/o, 12 adat i/o, 16 AES i/o or 24 MADI i/o.

The SmartMeter is planned for availability on October 15, 2009.
