Introduction

Trinnov SRP offers high quality surround recordings from a compact microphone array placed in the middle of a sound scene. It has been specially designed to meet modern production challenges to deliver high quality surround sound experiences to the end listener with reasonable engineering effort.

Based on a break-through and patented High Spatial Resolution technology, Trinnov SRP is the only surround recording system to offer simple and extensive post-production possibilities to create robust and high quality multichannel content that optimally supports any existing audio format and coding.

Features

The Trinnov SRP package includes:
  • The SRP digital signal processor dedicated to High Spatial Resolution multichannel recording. SRP receives the signals from a microphone array composed of 8 omnidirectional microphones and delivers the multichannel signals.
  • The Omni-8 microphone mount with sets of adaptation rings to build the microphone array by accurate placement of 8 omnidirectional microphones.
  • The HSR-5.0 software package including 8 filterbanks dedicated to High Spatial Resolution 5.0 recording.
  • Additional software plug-ins for temporal and spatial monitoring.

Trinnov SRP is easy to operate:

  • The microphone array is placed at the recording point like a stereo pair.
  • The microphone signals are sent to the SRP using standard studio preamp and converters.
  • The SRP delivers 5.0 sound respecting ITU standard.
